Eight years ago, a coworker and I met and worked in the same building. The very first day we met, I know I felt something and apparently he did too. Whenever I dropped my students off to his class, he would wink at me, we would stand really close to talk and we just felt very drawn to each other. It is unlike anything I have ever felt then or now. He is probably the most handsome man I have ever seen and I think many women will agree. But nothing ever happened. We never went out and it always remained professional.
Fast forward 8 years later (I am now 31 and he is 40), we end up sitting at the same table for a meeting and it was as if someone knocked the wind out of me. We ended up exchanging numbers at the end. The problem is he is now married. I am not sure he knows I know he is married. His wife is absolutely beautiful.
We have struck up a texting relationship with lots of flirting back and forth and we have admitted to being super attracted to each other back then and even now. He always initiates the texts and pictures. There is an obvious connection and attraction. The texting has led to to a few nights of heavy sexting when I know for sure his wife is not home but we still have not met up. My question is why would a married man text me? We make plans to meet but it never happens (yoga classes, skiing, etc). It's as if we want a life together but we both know it can't happen. We have described our relationship as "crazy yet so passionate". When you look at his wife and him, they are the perfect Ken and Barbie couple. I am also very attractive but I just don't understand why he would continue.
My other question is though we have not exchanged "I love you's" we do say "I hate you" often because we joke around often. He jokingly also did say back, "I love you too, you ass" after I said I hate you and that was very early on. Do you think he meant it? I know this all so wrong and I cannot believe I am even texting a married man.
