One of the guys I dated knows how to hack email accounts so I consider basically everything I have online to be public property. A guy who stalked me 10 years before I dated that guy that can hack accounts can also hack email accounts but the guy that stalked 10 years before was a dangerous psychopath and God sent him out of the country to protect me. I'm assuming after all the police reports I filed about him impersonating me, he will never get Canadian citizenship. The recent guy who can hack emails lives in Canada. I think maybe walking or driving distance away.

Well... our passwords are a complex mnemonic "system". We know each other well enough after 20 years to have a pretty good idea of the other's pwd's if we were really inclined to try hacking them, but trust the other not to do so except in the case of death/emergency.

I have dozens of my own so trying to remember someone else's is not for me. It's better to write them down somewhere for the partner in my opinion, so they can access them whatever it is required in an emergency.

Just get a password manager, Bitwarden is good as you can have one vault each and a combined one. Only I will know my personal ones.

Also add in that everyone uses MFA (or should be), sharing passwords is not that simple.
