I wouldn’t really care how the guys ring looked as long as he wore it. Im pretty simple for a female because i prefer bands over diamonds and shit. If i did get a ring with some sort of centerpiece, i’d want it to be a pearl or a pear shaped stone. I dont even like wearing rings so it would be hard not to just wear it around my neck like i do any other piece of jewelry. Ideally our bands would be plain on the outside but engraved on the inside like my ex and i had our promise rings engraved with our initials and a special message to eachother. I wore mine around my neck every other day but he wore his on his finger 24/7. Im surprised his finger didn't fall off since he kept it on while sleeping or in the shower, etc
That sounds so sweet your ex wore his promise ring for you!
Yea when that specific ex and I ended, he left his at his parents house and i threw mine… and just picked it up off the floor last year 😂 We broke up in 2019. Mustve been bad luck picking it up because then we considered getting back together afterwards (last year). The dude im with now, i’d like for us to get engraved dogtags. Anyone i’ve dated short term, we didn't get shit lol. So i really only have memorabilia from 3
Dog tags are fun the tiny kind?
Wait for that wedding ring! Hope the vacation goes well!
How tiny? Im referring to the ones around the size that military dudes wear around their neck. But he may have to use his as a keychain pendant because i dont want him getting caught on anything while fixing planes
Well I find those big but I'm picky
Maybe let him out his on a keychain for safety!
They have silicone wristbands you can custom create maybe get him one of those! As a promise ring 😜
Not wedding ring
Im not doing the promise ring thing anymore. That was a des/dez thing. I want dog tags now. I dont really find bracelets hot on men
Good get what you want and deserve!
Depends on the man and what he likes. One wanted simple because he works on heavy duty mechanical stuff a lot. We bought a basic silver colored $10 ring from Walmart that's lasted 16 years. It's scratched up quite a bit, but has never broken.
The other wanted a bit nicer for daily wear and a silicone band for working on planes. So, he got that. About $200, and he already lost the first and had to get it replaced.
Glad the ring survived! But 200 now silicone rings are like 20.
I like simple, but elegant. A lot of people like gold, but I like silver. It has a special sparkle to it, and a little diamond on a silver band brings an extra glare. I almost got married once. After my ex-girlfriend ran off to Indiana, she pawned our wedding rings. I bought the most beautiful silver wedding rings and engagement ring. The jewelry store I bought them from even offered free cleaning and repairs for life. I don't know if I would ever get married now because I seem to have bad luck with girls! If I did, I would definitely go for the silver rings again.
Basic af bc at least for me I am going to be doing a lot of exercise and physical activities and I don't need some decorative piece getting in the way. I also want something durable, not with some inlay that's going to get tarnished, burnt, or destroyed by rock climbing, handling chemicals, heat, cold, dirt, oil, &c.
Best ring is a simple titanium or gold. Even better than that is not wearing jewelry at all.
I know some firefighters that had their rings heat up and burn them.

Well we will go with cheap now- for sure- just in case they get lost, but for him it will either be I choose his for him and he chooses mine for me OR he chooses the one he will have to wear and I will choose the one I will have to wear OR we will discuss it both together and find some compromise. Brain storm and all.
Leaving it up to excitement at this point, really lol.
I’m curious 👀 what you’d prefer in this kind of question. 🙋♀️
it all depends on what he will be doing when he wears it.
If there is any chance of injury from a machine, electric spark, most place will not allow you wear one, some will accept a silicon band.
Guys that work with their hands generally a plain one will be best as they will wear off a pattern qhuickly so a plain band is better.
Guys that don't work with tools, or equipment, like office workers, then a pattern band is just fine, and it comes down to his personal preference too.
I truthfully think the man's ring should look as wild or crazy as the man wants. There's no rules on how anyone's ring should be. It's about who's wearing it and what THEY want.
You are going to wear this ring for awhile, aren't you? So do it up like you'd like.
I am fine with anything to be honest. It's a ring. It is a visual symbol. I could do without for all i care. I have 3 of worlds most blatant and beautiful symbols of the love my wife and i have for each other. Their names are Allison, Samantha and James.
I was given a ring that paid history to my southern roots. At the time I thought was cool but in hind sight it was a dig at what she thought of me from day one. A simple solid or two color band is fine. No need for diamonds or flare.
How could it be an insult?
I like simple. It's what I was given. Just white gold, don't remember the purity level, but I'm happy with it. Lost it once and had to replace it. I think that was five or six years ago.
Aw sorry you lost it!
Who gave it to you can't leave that partout!
My wife, of course :-)
Guys rings need to be in the forms of skulls and or predatory animals. Fact.
Also there need to be spikes on the inside, pointed inward. It has to be painful to wear the ring, otherwise it isn't manly enough.
Also it needs to be able to unfold into a screwdriver. I mean if your ring isn't also a useful tool, it definitely isn't manly enough.
Grrr Arrrg.
I'm gonna fuck that thing up so many times. Cheap as fuck.
That is what my dad did!
I'd go simple if I got married
High karat yellow gold or maybe platinum as I don't have any of that in my collection
It depends on both partners' preferences. I have no strong opinion :D
I do not wear rings anymore. I only wear my wedding ring when I get dressed up because I could not imagine losing it
We probably can't choose this, after all it's a gift from him. I would like a bland one.
I would say Simple and elegant for practical reasons. MEN like to do stuff like repairing cars, doing sports, etc. So the simple ones won't get in the way. Additionally, they match nearly every outfit while those fancy ones might not.
I don't like rings at all, especially on men.
They should be whatever makes the guy happy.
I don't believe in uniformity
Most guys i know that are in relationships or married all wore simple gold or silver rings. Some even black. Fancy looks weird unless they live that high end lifestyle. Simple is usually better
I think toe rings on guys are super hot.
Wouldn't it hurt to walk like that?
I like them to have diamonds in it to be the real deal
Rings are more than symbolic, but a loving reminder of the one you love. They don’t need to be fancy though.
