Am I the abnormal one? My age is 27. And I have never imagine that I wish I can marry. I have never dreamed this. Am I the abnormal person?

I always dreamed of it since I was a little boy. I'm not sure why but I think a part of it is that a lot of my favorite shows had men who were married.

Like Hokuto No Ken (my favorite cartoon here in Japan). It is about a man, Kenshiro, whose wife (Yuria) is taken from him. Then he has to fight and kill a horde of bad guys to save her.

So I wanted my Yuria to protect and grow strong and devote myself to protecting her.

I think in my case it might mostly be media and parenting and education. I was raised to think marriage is a very good and responsible thing. Even the video games I played seemed to encourage it, like Super Mario where you rescue the princess from the castle. Or Zelda where Link has to rescue Zelda. Altered Beast: rescue daughter. Double Dragon: rescue girlfriend. Everything was about men protecting and rescuing women. So I wanted to be like that.

I dreamed marriage when i was in my teenage and now i am 30 , still i would love to get married and enjoy each weather, each season with my spouse and kids. But life is so unfair for me. I met cheaters, players and non committal partners in past but still marriage is my priority.
