How do you feel about themed weddings? Are they cheesy or cute?

How do you feel about themed or costume weddings where the couple share their obsession for say a favorite movie, historical period, holiday via their wedding? In some cases they require guests to dress up according to the theme and everything from the decor to the venue is all coordinated to that theme.

Here lately, I’ve been liking them if they’re done properly like seasonal weddings like the winter fall an occasional theme wedding like fairies and Disney again done properly because done improperly it looks kind of childish or on thrown together.
Recently, I saw a Harry Potter wedding and it was beautiful. They had the candles and it was so cute and it wasn’t overdone and I like the fairy one with the garden theme. There was this one spring autumn type one in this industrial modern building with an archway that was really beautiful. Some people are very creative and it is your wedding. You can do whatever you want and I love when the men get involved with their own wedding. it shows that they really care.

I think subtle touches are great, but it can go overboard VERY quickly. I saw an Alice and Wonderland theme, and it looked like the greatest party ever...for a 6 year old.

Yes, that’s why I said as long as it’s not overdone, it could be very beautiful aesthetically pleasing if done properly is magical you can get it as an adult. If you know what you’re doing childish if done and improperly.

I think they're cute. Would I personally do it, likely not just because of the added planning and logistics. Though as far as my boyfriend is concerned he'd kill for a WWE themed wedding where we all have entrance music. But the idea of it is pretty cool. I've seen videos of star wars, jurassic park, lord of the rings, etc., and other types. The couple is happy and everyone seems to be having fun with it.

It always all just depends as with everything in life. I occasionally visit a Renaissance Fair and they actually have spaces where couples can rent out the very Renaissancey themed space and have the "King and Queen" marry them, and parade around through the fair on horses and basically have a Cosplay wedding and I think...eww, but if your friends and family are into it, meh, enjoy yourselves I guess.

If both the bride and the groom know what they are getting in the package also both can compromise to get what they want then it is totally fine for them to have a themed wedding, they don’t owe it to family or friends to have a “normal” wedding and can do whatever fills their hearts with love also their souls with joy.

I do think the people that want to change the theme of their wedding to something like any of the ones you used as an example are crazy, BUT it's the day of the couple. If they want to dress as turds, they can do it. As long as it makes them happy.

I mean, putting on a dress and tux doesn't make it any more or less serious as we all know people get married and annulled the same week after wearing that suit/dress.

Lol I'd rather wear black suit pants with a belt (potentially) and a nice long sleeve button up office shirt, white or lilac or purple light or purple like. Unrelated to poppy. Then I'd had my pale brunette short big tits slim girlfriend in her 20s (in my dreams lol) wearing a tartan purple black skirt and a nice sweater or a nice button up shirt. I don't really like it. I like the focus to be on the love and the couple. But if it's not too much, just a small theme it could be cute. But not a theme like star wars. That's weird in my opinion
