Are married people happy in their marriages?

60% tops. If you asked married people if they are happily married the answer is very likely to be yes to a stranger doing a survey. There are inherently biases.

What is apparent is the more sexual partners a woman has had then the less happy she is in marriage. Possibly because women expect resources and services. If she had 10 partners then one of the ex's is likely to have earn't more, could fix cars better, was funnier etc and so she feels duded in her final deal.

In contrast the number of partners a man has had doesn't have any statistically valid effect on his happiness. Possibly that is driven by how reliably she puts out.

Marriage is like owning a house.

You gotta put time and effort into it. A house will never be perfect just as a marriage. Nobody believes that you buy a house and everything looks perfect in 1-go, even though on TV it can look like that.
But somehow a lot of people believe that you don't need to put effort in a marriage and that it'll be perfect.

So in answer to the question, people who put effort in their marriage on both sides tend to be happier than people who don't.
And it must come from both sides.

that highly depends on the couple. very different answers for different people. some show that they're happy. some keep it only to themselves among their partner. some aren't happy but act happy... all of these individual experiences are widely different and vary so much that only percentages would be able to determine the average of how many people are happy in their marriage.

Definitely not all of them. There are a lot of people that don't really filter people by compatibility and pick them based on more surface level traits like whether they're attractive and how much money to they make that tend to realize that views, interests, sense of humor, sexual compatibility, life goals need to align to an extent. The people that tend to have miserable marriages are generally less thoughtful or philosophical about life.
