Honestly from my experiences with dating, try to explain things calmly with collectively when you are explaining your feelings. When I’m arguing with my partner I say things like “I am just trying to get you to understand my feelings, I don’t want to argue” and I also ask him “why are you raising your voice”. I simply will not raise my voice. Sometimes you just need to set the tone. Don’t raise your voice, be willing to apologize if he points at something you have done wrong even if you are the one bothered first. A lot of arguments come to two people having way too much of pride and ego issues. And if this doesn’t work, I’d consider if this person is worth being with

Does he project? Is he selfish? Is he highly insecure under all that ego and pride? IF he apologises, are the apologies insincere?

If so, you may be with a Narcissist in a relationship... or at least someone who ticks a few 'boxes'.
