Is it a bad idea to get secretly married behind fiancé and my parents back?

I know this sound kinda cliché

but me and my newly fiancé just got engaged last night after her ex fiancé wanted proof that I loved her so I risked everything proposed to her and now buying her a ring but we did all this with out telling our parents because they don’t like the thought of either one of us marrying each other but we both are legal adults so is it bad that we and sneaking to get married
