How am I supposed to find a husband? I can’t marry a guy without getting to know him. They want me to marry someone they select (and their choice is pretty bad)

Because your parents are brainwashed by their culture or their religious beliefs, blinded to the point where they can't even see that they're harming their own kid. It should click somewhere inside us, in their hearts, but it doesn't, and it doesn't because they value more an idea, a symbol, a tradition in a book than the person you are.

I don't have words to express how saddening it is to look at their own kid this way.

I can not understand your parents I mean your still young. Back in the early 1990's people got married in their late 30s and had kids in their 40's. I seriously can not understand why doctors say 40s is the cut of line to have kids. Or in the matter 30 is the cut off line only for woman to get married. Now a days dating is hard. I can't imagine your parents forced you to like someone you can not stand or hate. Why are they doing this? Your an adult it's your Life.

Different cultures have different norms. Your parents were raised a certain way and believe their opinion is right and cannot accept change. It is sad they have to resorted to name-calling. I suggest you continue to date as it is your life and work on convincing them that for you it is important toy you to find a guy of your own choosing that you will be happy with.
