Her ideal husband will earn her income or greater (7% of men) and also must be attractive. Moreover, most are already married. Therefore, her pool of acceptable partners is less than 4%. However, the men she wants don't care about her law partnership or income. She is very attractive but she is not as beautiful as she was at ages 18 to 22 and she is competing with beautiful young women; the women the men she wants would choose over her.

Therefore, she has two choices and neither are good. She can marry a much older or lower income man that she is not attracted to or else she can remain single.

MY ADVICE TO YOUNG WOMEN: IF YOU WANT MARRIAGE AND CHILDREN, MARRY WHILE YOU ARE YOUNG. DON'T WAIT UNTIL YOU ARE 30 AND HAVE ESTABLISHED A CAREER.

I married at 31 and my wife was 30 and a doctor. It's definitely been difficult to maintain a conventional marriage because her career made her so driven.

I'm a B-type personality so I find it much easier to roll with the punches than she does. It's hard being older and only becoming parents at 45/46 respectively has been challenging - and losing my leg at 48 didn't help, but whatcha gonna do!

If you want a family, try to remember that for THOUSANDS of years MOTHERHOOD was the single most important thing a woman could do and something men aspired then and REAL men still aspire to being able to facilitate for their wife, and do it younger.

Our family is very much the exception. Most of my son's friends have grandparents my age - not that I have anything in common with the grandparents!

It's possible next year when he goes to primary school instead of kindergarten and there's 500 kids instead of 20 at the school that the fact we're older parents could be a flashpoint for bullying.

1. Lot of guys are intimidated by her.

2. If there is a divorce, she has a massive advantage, not just in her personal knowledge but in her knowledge of the best family law attorneys.

3. Even with her income, in most cases she will want a guy who makes that or more. Guys in that range, on the other hand, generally do not care what the lady makes, so she has a lot of competition.

I remember going on a date with a very attractive yet very bitchy 26 year old female lawyer back then I was 28.

She was asking loaded questions but also “bully flirting” a lot. She wanted to make out and we did. But later she treated me like “a mistake” and I never heard from her again.

Her response to after the date didn’t surprise me. But again I wanted her to prove my gut wrong.

Attitude is part of these women’s problems. And this girl was the early “wave” of modern feminist bs. I was much more naive to what I was dealing with at the time. She kept on bringing up politics on the date in a time era that was far less common. Obama was in office.

But this was also a time when liberal women actually engaged with conservative men more. She enjoyed the “challenge” of debating with me.

However nowadays that date would have never happened. I guess you can say “why bother” but there was a time liberals and conservatives at least interacted with each other.

She can always change careers. You missed that option because you were too fixated on the pile of cash... Gold digger syndrome make you dumb... As a kid I often spent afternoons playing in the waiting room or legal library on the top floor of a building in a legal office. The head of the firm and man who had the building built died relatively young of cancer. My mom worked in his office. He was a nice enough guy, but he was all work all the time and it took him down. A female attorney that worked on the same floor, but in different office space she rented from him always seemed angry. Sometimes we as kids ran through her office when we weren't suppose to, but even as a kid it was easy to see she was a miserable person even though she was making a lot of money. I heard from my mom that years later she quit doing real estate law and became a teacher. She loved it and ended up married and had kids. Sometimes you just need to go a different direction in life.

The odds of finding a wife he is attracted to before establishing a career and/or getting a job are slim to none.

If you graduate high school at age 18 and get a job in one of the trades, at age 22, you should be a journeyman. Moreover, if you graduate college at 22 or 23 and get a job as an engineer, accountant, or any of several other fields, your income will be enough to get married

In my case, I don't expect a young man who may still be in college to have a high income. However, I want him to have the potential for high income. For the first couple of years, we can make do with whatever we earn.

most likely, she won't ever be married. Why? There are certain traits and behaviors that can accompany such a driven individual and none of which are conductive to establishing a balanced relationship including being a committed partner. Even if she does marry, the unfortunate truth is it will more than likely just end in a divorce.

Now to clarify, i married in the late 80's and my wife was a lawyer. While we loved each other, her chosen career often took precedent over our relationship. a lot of times I just felt like a piece of jewelry she would flash once in a while for appearances. I lost her in 2007, (auto accident) and over the years realized what our relationship was missing the entire time.

I will never again settle for such a substandard experience again.

Let's be honest, who the hell wants to marry a lawyer. Most guys want to marry someone who's fun to be with.

I would think that a man and a woman working similar jobs. High paying and demanding of their time and minds. Wouldn’t be spending much time with their children. So why have children? If the woman wants to keep her high paying job and have children. Can afford to support a stay at home dad. Then she needs to settle for something that would benefit her children and not the social image of having a richer lifestyle.
