What happened with people not wanting to stay married anymore?

I can understand abuse is a no no, so is neglect and not everyone succeeds at that. But when you throw it away because you don't feel a spark anymore why not try to fix it. Or if your in a sexless marriage try to get it going again.

The change has mostly been among women, and is due to a combination of no fault divorce, the propensity of women to take full advantage of a female-biased legal system, and the lack of commitment among modern women. Studies show the #1 reason for divorce is lack of commitment, 80% of divorces are filed by women, and it's no secret that men typically get screwed in divorce court and child custody. Women are destroying the institution of marriage.

I get what you're saying. These days, it feels like people are more ready to walk away from relationships instead of working through the tough parts. I mean, marriage isn't all fireworks and romance every day, and the idea that if the "spark" is gone, it’s over, seems like an excuse not to put in the effort. Real relationships take work—like, hard work. If there's no abuse or serious issues, why not try to reignite that spark? Try new things, communicate better, or just remember why you fell for each other in the first place. Too many people just move on when things get hard, but the best stuff in life usually comes from pushing through those challenges, not giving up at the first sign of trouble. It’s easier to leave than to face the work, but nothing worth having is easy.

they don't realize the change and maintenance. Their training is that life is all about their current gratification and feeling good, everything goes fast. Rather than accepting the change and doing work, they bail to find something that feels good again... rather than accepting the change to feel good. poor training and as well a society of seemingly infinite opportunity. it's a lie.

Because, for one thing, there's an emotional intelligence and maturity that many people are sadly lacking in today. For another (and as a result thereof), they go into marriage not knowing, understanding, and, dare I say, not caring about what marriage is and what it requires.

The short answer can be heard whenever you're near someone who sees an old, happily married couple. What do they say? Some variation of "I wish I could find something like that". Find. Relationships like that aren't found, they're built- but no one's told young people that for two and a half generations, and so they think difficulties mean their partner isn't "the one".

Marriage isn't some magic thing. It's just a legal condition wrapped around a relationship. When the relationship has failed, then people divorce.
