I suppose it's possible. But who knows if this girl was engaged to this guy when she was 5, and their families agreed on the match. It sounds like this family is Indian or Middle Eastern. A lot of arranged marriages around there.

And often these people go along with what their families want. Very traditional.

I don't think any woman who's attractive can marry any man who's rich. That's not a truism.

But rich men can "buy" spouses for superficial reasons, and buy several of them over time. There are young physically attractive women whose only gift is how they look. And there are rich unattractive men whose only quality is they have money. If the twain meet, the pair get something they want from the other.

But for long-term satisfaction, is this young woman ONLY going to need money? Is this young man ONLY going to want someone to hang on his arm and look pretty at events?

It doesn't sound like a recipe for lifelong success to me. Let's hope the pretty woman is kind and the dumpling husband loves her sense of humor and respects her. Those are qualities that grow and improve over the years.

A lot of girls don't measure guys by how beautiful or ugly they are and don't even feel any different dating an ugly guy as opposed to a good looking guy. In the same way men will reject a very rich woman if they don't find her attractive, women will reject a very good looking man, if they don't like his personality and ability to make her happy.

Also a lot of women care more about height than they do about BMI. Just like men care more about BMI than they do about height.
