Where I live if you do one single things wrong you lose everything as we have very strict fault laws. Like just leaving the house while being married but asking for a divorce is a fault, not continuing to split the bills is a fault, etc... If you want to move out the house you need to ask the permission of the judge that would either agree or disagree if he disagree ifyoure at fault and lose everything and if you get out of the house before asking permission you're at fault too; there's even a laws about you just need to call the police and they would filled a paper for the judge if your wife / husband have left the house without the judge permission.
Only time where is it ok to do so is if you're being physically abused but you need to have physical evidence go to the hospital and file a declaration to the police station the very day you leave the house if not it's considered as an "abandon conjugal" which mean abandoning the family house.

I'm surprised to hear American have no fault divorce not surprising so many people complain about marriage in America.
