Do you have to make all your friends bridesmaids?

I have lots of friends; three best friends. One casual friend who thinks she’s a best friend. Would it hurt her feelings if I didn’t make her a bridesmaid at my wedding? I’d rather not stick to tradition. I want a coloured dress, a garden wedding and my three best friends are two men and a woman.

My sister-in-law had a lot of friends who all wanted to be bridesmaids, but she stuck with her sister, myself, and just two other friends. In order to alleviate anyone's feelings being hurt, she had a separate event during the wedding which was basically like a thank you lunch to all the girls in her life that have been so important to her where they were all invited. She also invited all the "non-bridesmaid" friends to come early to take photos with us and help her get ready so they wouldn't feel left out.

Not saying you need to do any of that, but that's what she did, and no ones feelings got hurt. In the end, it's your day with your future husband. The people standing next to you should be the ones you want there. You don't have to explain why someone wasn't chosen.

Reminder please do not make a child free wedding. Be mindful that people have child and kids must also be welcome to be in the wedding. I ended a friendship over my selfish friend she decided to be a Bridezilla and excluded my kids. But I forced my entrance along with my kids. I hate it how people now a days plan a childless wedding.

Well, it’s their wedding. Their right to choose, in my opinion. On the other hand, I have a friend with a little girl and I have teenage relatives and I wouldn’t think of leaving them out.

It’s blue tulle. I’m a big boned woman, with big breasts, so white isn’t a good colour for me. It’s got long lace sleeves, because I’ve got big shoulders. It’s beautiful 🥰
