What Are The Best Things For A Wedding? What Made Your Wedding Stand Out?

Hey everyone! Starting to plan a wedding here! We already picked up our lights for the venue but was wondering what everyone else did that made their wedding stand out or be talked about for months. We would love to hear what others have done and have any ideas what we should do like party favors and what not. Let us know! Thanks!

I know this will come across as bragging, but I had one of the best weddings I've ever been to. The difference is that while we wanted the wedding to be "our" day we wanted to host a party people would love. We focused on good food, a good DJ, and plenty of beer and wine. We didn't have assigned tables so people who didn't know each other had to mingle. I helped pick fun songs for the DJ's playlist, and he ended up staying almost 2 hours past his end time just because he was having so much fun.

A wedding means absolutely NOTHING long term , keep it simple , keep it inexpensive , when you book something never say its for a wedding , its all a waste of time , keep it very simple.

Invest the money in a low cost index fund , and work towards your future life in a rational manner.

If the couple are happy and in love, open and caring towards the people who came to share the day with them, the wedding could be held in a park, on a shoestring budget, and it would still be memorable.

Low-key and cheap is better. Save the expense for the honeymoon.

Why not take that money and drop it into buying a house or paying something off? Go to the courts, get my narried and just have an uncoordinated party somewhere. Weddings are overrated, love isn't.

I’ll be honest, I kind of wish we didn’t have a wedding it ended up being kind of terrible because of family drama

I got married in a court house with one witness and saved $40k not having a party that nobody will remember 3 days later. I invested that money into a house to raise my family in.
