How do you feel about wedding dress codes?

Do you love them because it brings the event all together and makes it easy to decide what to wear or do you hate them and feel like you should be able to wear whatever you want?

You can wear whatever you want when you are the bride but most western brides choose a white dress. It's tradition but we grow up wanting to be the bride. It's a dream. Historically it was the biggest day in any girl's life.

When I got married it was a white dress. My father insisted on paying for a huge wedding, personally I wanted it smaller.

I don't mind it in either way. The new married couples are the main lead characters of the wedding. If they want it to be more fancier and set up a dress code, I would be lovely to participate.

Weddings are a social construct a fantasy. It's a show. If you want to go to the show you gotta submit to the costumes. You can't have actors in Macbeth dressed up as Megatron from transformers it ruins the show for all.

Hate them. People should be able to wear whatever they want, and that includes the bride and groom.
