I feel like interest in me shot through the fucking roof. Women that just want to fuck and not get tangled up in relationshit complexities started to take a hard note of who I am and what I'm about. Before, I probably looked like a danger to them. I'll put it like this... the type of women that would walk up and talk to me changed.
Imagine being looked at as a perverted creeper by all women except for a very few one day to suddenly having about 60% of women directly hitting me up for raw raunchy sex the next... while 95% of the women that thought I was a creeper now feel safe around me and will actually talk to me like I'm a human being. That's the difference between having that ring on or not. I stopped wearing it because you know what... I don't want these women to talk to me like that. I'm not an attention lover and it's nothing but red flags for me when people treat me too good.
Now that's me out of the way. As for my wife... I wouldn't say most of her interest went away. The men that would fuck another man's wife never went away... they were there the entire time. They were there before and marriage didn't make them go anywhere. It's more apparent what kind of men they are though. I mean my wife and I can sit down at a computer and that guy that likes all her pictures except for the ones with me or the kids in the picture is pretty fucking neon green and glowing as to what he's up to.

Their true character just comes out after a relationship is established for her. The good guys that probably would've treated her better moved on. Now it's just the sick fucks that are obsessed and think they would treat her better and players that just want to fuck that were always there. So if the actual numbers of men's attention went down for women after a relationship establishment, is true or false... I'd have to ask women.
Yes I think a lot of married men receive more attention than married women. Women tend to want men that other women want. Especially if he’s married. If he’s married then they know chances are he’s got something going for himself that a girl was willing to marry him. So they tend to want that as well. I don’t know why a lot of you are like that. That’s not to say men don’t check out married women if they’re cute cause we do. But we don’t see married women the way women see married men. We just see her as damn she’s hot id smash that.
No, I received a lot of attention before I was married -- to be fair, I was cute back then.
I received moderate attention while I was married -- even when I was sporting my prego mom bod. I just presumed everything was platonic and held a firm line.
An onslaught of attention the moment my divorce was finalized and I snapped back to my college bod, though I was raising kids and was very dismissive of the attention.
Now an "empty nester" there is a fairly reasonable bit of attention (and still some unwanted/unreciprocated attention), and I wouldn't be comfortable with more than what I have. Tbh I feel it's already too much.
Do married men receive more attention from women? Yeah, my husband had a ton of women from the PTA flinging themselves at him... It's the reason I divorced him. I won't tolerate cheating. It shouldn't matter whether a person is CAPABLE of getting attention... A person should respect the sanctity of marriage.
For some reason women FAWN over a guy walking the family dog, walking the baby or volunteering for stuff (though his wife probably nagged him into it).
Personally, if I know a guy is married I don't shy away from befriending him but I ask for his wife's email/number and when I text/email him I include her in the communication.
That tweet is based on stereotypes.
And I'm here to fuel that!
So basically people assume, a married man is basically a guy that's been approved, that's been trained and nevertheless, men in general are seen as horndogs so that means, they're more willing to cheat.
Married women on the other hand... She's already been defiled. The other guy will kick your ass. And women in general are so much less likely to physically cheat, and that's the only thing men can think of : SEX!

Well I think it’s equal honestly there is this thing some people have for something forbidden. Meaning a man or woman that’s off limits let’s say someone whose married there is that taboo of wanting to experience what it would be like with someone. Not to someone who has integrity but someone who doesn’t.
The other major thing… Envoy. Being a home wrecker can feel powerful to a man or woman whose actively destroying a marriage. It feels powerful to them to be smashing someone else’s wife or husband as sick and twisted as it sounds. They know they are coming between a marriage.
It’s grossly dysfunctional that she is even gauging that result. That relationship, like so many others, is doomed.
Women are more likely than men to vet their prospective mates by whether or not those mates already have a mate. Furthermore, they are more likely to value him based on the value of his current mate. If she thinks his woman is below herself in status, she won’t give him the time of day. If she thinks his partner is above herself in status, stealing him away improves her own status in her opinion.
It’s a terribly dysfunctional baseline but women defend it vehemently. Ever notice that when men cheat it’s because men are just dogs, but when women cheat it’s because their men made them do it?
It's so weird that she's looking for attention OUTSIDE of marriage and she's also weirded out that her husband is getting it instead...
@anon1903 women are attracted to unavailable men. We single ones have it rough
@blackeagle007 some women are that way and she's one of them
“I wear a ring now and the amount of men check me out or talking to me reduced by 80%”
“My guy wears a ring and the amount of women checking him out or talking to him doubled. Wtf is wrong with you women?”
Okay so, we are lacking context and there could be an actual reason for this phenomenon known as “Confirmation Bias”.
With Confirmation Bias, I had a toy car that was a Ford Focus then I saw the same car in the same color on the road then I had a toy car of Cadillac Escalade in which I saw the same car in the same color. Is it because there are more of that model car driving around or is it because I’m preconditioned to look for it because I’m paying attention for it whether intentionally or unintentionally. That is what could be going on here.
Secondly, was this discussed by the newly weds or is this something only the bride has commented on? This is important because maybe we are missing a factor like
A) The male doesn’t point out or notice when his partner is being checked out as often as she is.
B) The female doesn’t check up on how often she gets checked out and talked to as much as the male in the relationship.
C) What was the ratio of being checked out / talked to prior to the marriage? If the female wasn’t hit on as much prior while her husband got all the attention prior then you would expect the trend to continue, right? (Which says a whole lot about society in a different way if true).
Point is, this isn’t data driven or scientifically done. It is just a post on social media.
Taken at face value yeah, but I like to dive deeper because this is a big claim with little explanation from her.
Don't we all understand this already?
Physically speaking a single man could "service" hundreds of women. His time, effort and energy investment in the reproductive process is minimal, so it is easy for him to do it a lot. Women, on the other hand, carry the vast amount of the time, effort and energy investment in the reproductive process. They get knocked up once and it puts them out of commission for between 9 months and 18 years.
Why am I mentioning this? Simple.
Given women can only get pregnant a few times, they ideally want their own genes partnered with those of the best father they can find. Quality is all-important. This is hardwired into the female psyche: find the best man.
Meanwhile men have no such condition. As mentioned they could in theory impregnate hundreds of women in sequence. The more the merrier. Traditionally speaking, the only women off-limits are those who are already with other men, because that leads to conflict with those other men.
The flipside is also that, at least when polygyny was commonplace, that a man already having other women didn't mean he was off the table. They could all share him equally. BUT all of this was the ancient condition...
Obviously somewhere along the way things changed. Monogamy became a thing. Religion probably played a part. But human instincts forged over a million years or so haven't caught up. Women still see a man who is claimed by another woman and get to thinking: "He must be good, I want a piece of that too." ... and men still see a woman who is claimed by another man and think "I don't really need to get into a fight. There are other women out there".
At least subconsciously. I doubt most of this even touches the conscious thought process.
I think the reason why married men get more attention is because the fact that someone married him means a woman thought he was decent enough to marry, it may be seen as some sort of pre-check pass lol
Married women though, men would think she "belongs" to another man and they'll respect that. It's the same reason why so many women say "I have a boyfriend" when someone they're not interested in asks for their number - because the sense of ownership for men is big and can sometimes even overtake actual respect for women.
It's messed up in my opinion but that's what I think the reasoning behind might be.
You're pretty on point from what I've seen.
Nailed it madam
Trust me, there are lots of whores out there (both genders) who are more attracted to married or taken people. I get plenty of attention single but I've gotten even more now that I'm in a relationship. And some of them are even clingier and creepier.
I knew it was true for me but I wasn't sure if it was the same for females... you just cleared that up for me.
Exactly! This is based on gender stereotypes
Many of my admirers and suitors have seized pursuing me.
Some are relentless in their flirts but they're not getting anywhere.
Meanwhile, my husband's admirers have grown in numbers despite being aware he's married.
I absolutely hate the idea of cheating
I don’t condone it no matter what the circumstance is
And yet. I can’t shake the desire of take a married woman on the ride of her life
Something about cucking her husband turns me on
I’ve never done it. And probably never will
But the fantasy definitely exists
There is only one single circumstance in which I'm ever ok with an affair and that's if the person stepping out of the marriage has been abused in some way. Any other excuse and I don't care if you're a guy or a girl for the rest of your life you're now a slutty whore.
Once upon a time, a random on Twitter conducted a social experiment under the supervision of themselves, then they have drawn whatever conclusions they fancied. Cool story?
To me, what makes sense, psychologically, is that people feeling happy draw attention. When they're happy, fulfilled by their relationship, marriage or whatever, it shall make them standing out. It shall logically make them desirable.
some women in my country tried this and it don't work at all, I can even say personally it does not work as my grandfather gave me my great grande mother wedding and fiance ring that I wear everyday and the amount of attention I get have never dropped always the same. I doubt guy actually really notice the ring a woman wear.
Men don't get off on taking someone elses woman, they're off limits. It's an honour thing about commitment that's important to them to acknowledge another's commitment. Women see something that's tried and tested and has shown they're willing to commit so has "passed the test" that sets them up as valuable.
Yes, right after I got married I got hit on by a few women. One of them went through a lot of trouble to track me down and ask me out. She was pretty hot too,
I would never hit on a married woman.
I think that's true. Men see a married woman as dangerous to mess with because there is a guy with her who is going to be possessive and dangerous. Women see a married man as good material for a relationship because some other woman was willing to marry them.
I don't think I've experienced any less or any more interest since getting married. My husband say's he's gotten more interest, but he's also been working out a lot more and got this new haircut that does wonders for his head lol
Seems about right. It's because most men will be nt go after married women, where lots of women want what they can't have, a married man.
I think there is some truth in that. For some reason, taken men seem more desirable. I don't think that's necessarily true of taken women.
Have had non-stop interest from men as a married woman, I would argue MORE than as a single girl in the 90's.
depends on the man some men are way more charming than others
I lose ALL of my attraction once he’s married with babies. I am just not into being so petty to try to get off from stealing him. Ladies don’t do that.
a woman's fidelity is always there. it never left! women don't marry for love
Well, if I put my fancy stockings and mini skirt on then yes I could easily receive interest... :)
That may be true in the beginning. But after a few years. I think the women might receive more attention from men!
First of all I think your question should read Do married women receive less interest FROM men NOT in men.
Assuming that that is the case, I think yes.
Women are disloyal and most married girls, cheat and initiate divorce. If a man is married it shows he is competent and women want stability, a challenge and forbidden love.
Yep. To the point where, years ago, I wanted to get a fake ring and see if that would work.
But I guess I sadly wasn't a piece of shit enough, and I never tried.
Well as a woman I wear my great grand mother fiance and wedding ring and the amount of attention I get have never changed no matter if I wear it or not, I even wear a heart shaped necklace guys just don't care, I doubt they even notice it anyway. I also wear a catholic cross and this does not spent pervert from hitting on me so I doubt getting a wedding ring to try out would have changed anything.
Yup. Being a married man signals to other women that you are potentially a safer bet than single men because a woman liked you enough to choose you. You've been verified.
That sounds like the twisted reality we are living in.
Many women like the challenge they also go after priests. Seems to be a woman thing. They also like to flirt with men on dates to annoy them knowing they are far above their level.
As a married man this feels weirdly true. I strive to be faithful, my wife deserves that.
No its the same and we all need a side friends with benefits
No I don't think so
I think both can have equal intrests
Depends on their married life
I have no idea, I prefer women who are not married.
Yes to the first part. ONLY if the woman is toxic to the second part.
For most part. But for some I guess they like the challenge. Or what they can't have.

Yes. Because men are more ethical than women.

I don't think it matters too much either way.
