I want the marriage my parents and grandparents have. My grandparents have been married for 58 years and they had it all, and still do. My parents will have been married for 34 years next month and they still have a great marriage. Women were different back then.

Conversely, every man I know my age, or the age of my older brother, who got married is now divorced, or in divorce proceedings, because their wives left them. Most of them are good guys, and were good husbands and fathers (the ones who have kids). But their wives somehow found reasons to divorce them. These guys' lives have all been ruined because they got married. There is only one exception, and his wife is awesome. She is the rare exception.

I'm not willing to risk everything a man must risk today for what passes as marriage today to what passes as a woman today.
