Never enjoyed doing that and I try to avoid going whenever possible. I was able to skip marriages a few times in the past.

What I totally abhor is that you have to get dressed up in fancy clothing and that is the part I totally dislike. I do never wear fancy clothing because I feel constricted in them and also I feel like I am on show, mainly if you have to wear a dress that has a low cut or shows too much.

I hate it when men try to be obnoxious and want to have a look into your dress to see if they can have a peek.

I much rather wear something comfortable than to be a sitting duck. Also, what I absolutely hate is that everybody gets intoxicated and become too daring.

Depends on the wedding.

• Is it some intimate setting with a small (ish) group of people I know well and like? I'm in.
• Or is it some Bridezilla's 300 person extravaganza with a bunch of self absorbed assholes I barely know who live on anti depressants and alcohol? I'm out?
• Or maybe Bridezilla wanted a destination wedding in Tahiti. I'm out. I'm not flying 20 hours each way then wearing a pink tux on a beach for a "theme" photo to satisfy some bitches ego and/or salve her insecurities.
• Is it a close friend? I'm in.
• Is it a work colleague? I'll go and disappear as fast as possible.
• Is it someone I barely know? I'm probably there as a woman's +1. I'm trapped. I'll behave myself and bite my tongue.
• Is it family? I'll behave myself and bite my tongue. Unless one of them deserves to be silenced.

Every time one of my friends gets married, it's a massive party. There hasn't been one for a while. I can think of at least 4 friends who need to man up and ask their long time girlfriends to get married. They have been living together and had kids for years.

I'm a true introvert. Weddings can be overwhelming with all these people in your face. I do enjoy smaller weddings, more intimate and more community based as opposed to 200 people where most of them don't even know one another.
