I have to go to a wedding today. I would like to chew off my leg to get out of it
+1 yIt depends on who's wedding it is. I don't mind going to weddings but if I'm around a lot of people I don't know I'll be a little uncomfortable. One thing I've always dealt with was social anxiety. Big crowds brother me so I'm not the biggest fan of big weddings. Hope you have a good time at the wedding. Enjoy the nice weather. Seems to be cooling off a bit and the island will be beautiful right now. I'm jealousy I miss the island

Yeah damn that sucks it was humid ugh I hate that. Well at least now you can enjoy your time on the island and so what you wanna do. I miss the coast

+1 yI like socializing and eating nice food and drinking but I don't really care too much for the wedding cause I think romantic relationships are as common as water. I'd be happier for the groom and bride's parents then I would be for the groom and bride.

u +1 yI enjoy weddings. People are happy, there are pretty girls dressed up, and hopefully a nice reception with a live band afterwards.
Hopefully, I’ll enjoy my own wedding next April! 😀😀😀04 Reply- +1 y
Yeah, and in 5 years you can say to them, "Gee, sorry about your divorce. 😯" Seems like 5 years is the magic number. If you get past that you may have a chance of a longer marriage.
+1 yI want to say it's a fate worse than death, but that wouldn't be giving death the credit it deserves.
At my wedding we went to the courthouse and I paid the judge $150.00
Judge: Do you, scissors, take...
Scissors: Yeah, yeah, where do we sign?
Judge: At the bottom.
Scissors: Cool, we have a flight to catch. Thanks. See ya.
Then off to the turquoise water of South Florida.
I feel your pain to have to go to a traditional ceremony. And don't think you're not going to have to do the chicken dance! lol

+1 yI like the dressing up part and taking cute photos. In my culture weddings are a 3 day costly party. Each day is a different venue, different dress and different experiences. It’s definitely fun but by the end day, it’s so hard to keep up. The drive is knowing that the third party is usually the most fun.

@electromagnetic. The men must HATE wedding in your culture.
- +1 y
@KrakenAttackin they do. Lucky for them, it’s not compulsory to be there other than one day.
Weddings are great. One of my best friends got married about 20 years ago and we had an absolute rager of a reception, and then a huge out of control party at the hotel across the street. We had the whole floor of the hotel reserved, it was like a 20 room party. The hotel had the police and fire department come to shut us down because all the weed smoke was setting off the fire system. My friend's dad was a detective and walked out there and told the cops to take a hike and we kept the party going till like 5 a. m.
10 ReplySitting through a wedding can be a drag. Usually the reception is separate, though, and I don't mind those. Good food, free drinks, people to talk to, I don't have to wear a tie, and, if the music is obnoxious, I can leave later if I feel like it.

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yI go to so few of them, so I really enjoy them when I go. I've only ever been to one really bad wedding, the rest have been fun times. I do think I would hate them if like some of my friends, they have to attend "wedding seasons" where for like 3 months straight, every other weekend is another wedding---I would hate that.

+1 yI have been to ssoooo many weddings that i can't take it anymore. We have special traditions, we give money as a gift and we still get judged, late hours and very far away from home. So now days i just call in advanced wish the couple the best and tell them i am not gonna make it.
10 ReplyI've already gone to most of the weddings that matter. Close family, a couple of close friends, that's it. Anyone else planning to get married now in my life is not someone I am really going to go out of my way to attend. With that said, no, I don't enjoy going to weddings anymore, and have been declining invites when I get them.

+1 yMeh... If it's not family, I would find a way to enjoy myself, but there are a thousand other things I'd rather be doing.
If the wedding involved family, I'd chew my leg off first too. I eloped just so I wouldn't have to invite any relatives.
Good luck X7! Maybe the wedding will put your wife in a romantic mood. 😉
10 ReplyYeah I like going to weddings, getting dressed up learning some choreographed dance. Nice outing with childhood friends. Heartwarming speeches. Nice food, just a relaxing time until someone loses a bag with half the speeches in them, someone falling over ooohhh punch have you ever tried punch all over your pretty new dress 😂 some funny stuff and memories to be had at weddings ✌️
10 ReplyHaha what do you dislike about them so much?
To me, the worst part is that I feel obligated if it's someone close to me and the fact that so much money is going away.
Aside from that, I try to have the best time with drinks and conversation
10 ReplyNaaaa I gotta find a friend to go dance otherwise. I'll be asked "you are single? We need to hook you up with someone". I swear 😂 nooooo 😂.
I don't want more loans, I have truck, home and business loans to be investing on wedding loan 😂 loans. Weeding is a bad investment doesn't reproduce instead she gives you Minions.10 Reply
+1 yWhy did you RSVP if you didn't want to go?
It's a memorable event so why not go? Are you not excited for this couple's new chapter in their lives? ! Grow up.
21 ReplySo far, I've only been to one wedding. I wouldn't mind going to more.
In fact, if I could get paid for attending to weddings, I would definitely take the job.

+1 yI love weddings. I think they’re fun.
I’m not sure when they plan on getting married, but my sister in law is engaged so that’s the next wedding I’ll probably go to.
This is the only wedding that I’m not looking forward to cause I don’t like either the bride or the groom 💀 I think they’re both cunts and I hope their marriage fails. But that’s my husbands sister so…I guess I’ll go to be polite
10 ReplyYeah. Love excuses to dress up, and such a good occasion as well

+1 yIt depends who is getting married, I’m going to my stepson’s second wedding in Jamaica so now I have to book a stay there since I obviously can’t drive there or show up for a day. The only reason I’ll go is because I get to visit Jamaica and maybe have fun otherwise I would just send a gift
10 Reply I have five older sisters and countless cousins. I learned to hate weddings and being in them. I just had a private ceremony in our family's church and priest.
I didn't want to go through the stress of it all or waste all that money.
20 ReplyThe only part of being at a wedding is the 🍰 cake🙂
21 ReplyOnly when I actually know more people than the couple getting married. Im not a fan of being sat at a table of strangers to eat food I didn't order... That's when I head to the free booze area, and if there isn't one, it's time to leave.

+1 yI’ve never really enjoyed them. They’re usually very formal now and you can’t relax and then you burn an entire day off work by basically going to work.

Oh no. So you have to wear a tie? On your day off?

+1 yFunerals & weddings are two things I never liked going to & to be honest I stopped going to funerals because I want to remember people the way I want to remember them not sitting in a box. I wonder if people have divorce parties?
10 ReplyI love wedding.. but its always a matter of the vibe inside made by the crowd.. the funniest wedding ever been my brother in law.. the guy was making a lot of games and everyone was pretty much participating.. the hit of the night was my wife brother sitting and thinking it was her wife dancing (LIKE A LAPS DANCE) but she switched and my wife took her place.. the funniest moment ever.. he started to grabs her boobs.. and they took the blindfold out..

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yThe ONLY reason to go to a wedding is to try to get laid. No it's not as easy as the movie wedding crashers. But the movie is absolutely spot on about single women at women. Wedding trigger that "want to be married" feeling in them and it does give you an advantage in trying to get them into bed.
Otherwise no, weddings are excrutiating.😆
