I would hope for all parties involved in a marriage that love was present before the marriage and not just after it.

Otherwise, it would mean that the marriage was arranged, that the bride and groom did not know each other or that it was more or less a forced marriage due to a number of circumstances.

In the movies, you always hear about people falling in love after having been married for a number of years. Whether this is really the case, I don't know but I believe that people are trying to make the best out of the situation they have been placed.

If someone thinks love is over after marriage, then they don’t know what genuine love is, because marriage isn’t about constant excitement. There will be a point where the excitement is over because you are so comfortable with each other and you feel safe and you feel the comfort of family, and even though it’s not exciting anymore, your bond will keep growing even after ever difficult phase.

I would say it's the exact opposite. Love is absolutely possible after marriage (though not always easy). If all your feelings disappear after marriage than it was just infatuation to begin with and nothing more.
