Is very pale skin really that gross?

OK I know different people have different tastes, but all my friends give me sh*t for being super pale when I wear short shorts or a bikini. Does it really look that bad? I mean I try to tan a little, and I do but I don't want to get burnt or get skin cancer. So I'm always paler than everyone else. If you saw a girl who had a decent slim body, but who was really pale, would that be a turn off? Is it fair for them to give me sh*t over this but I can't say stuff about their appearance that they can't help, like stumpy legs or acne? Is it just a cultural thing because I live in Australia?

Can't answer for the guys, but it sounds like you're accepting and happy of your skin color - and you should be! :DDD There's no point in tanning and then getting skin cancer and all that. Pale can be so pretty with the right blush or shade of pink.

It could be a cultural thing. I mean, fly a couple hours to Asia and every girl will be jealous of your skin color! *__*

You sound like a smart gal with a good head on your shoulders. Don't listen to your "friends." (Seriously? You have friends who would insult your physical looks that way? What the heck kind of friends are those? Tell them to knock it off. =/ )

I am pale with blond hair and blue eyes. People joke about it all the time...but I try to think of it in a positive way. While all my friends are out tanning and such, I don't have to worry about it. Plus, I will have better skin when I'm 40! :)

Skin color is probably the physical characteristic that I look at least, tan or pale and anywhere inbetween I couldn't care less about. You could definitely make a comeback on their acne, however 'stumpy legs' if by that you're referring to kind of short but thick legs, I'm not sure if that's so bad. I actually like women who have thicker thighs(Should be toned though) I were you I wouldn't call anyone out if they had stocky legs, you could call them stumpy though.

Depends which guy you ask, I have no issues with pale girls(good for me as most girls around here are fairly pale)

Acne however is gross, its perfectly treatable if you see a dermatologist, I'm not sure what stumpy legs are.

Hahah stumpy legs I guess are just short and thickish kinda legs. I don't have either of those issues, I was just using them as an example.

Depends on the guy. Most I know don't care, but if it's some idiotic beach bum he's gonna want you tan.
