Is pale skin a turn off?

Question

I'm not sure how I'd look with a tan, or if it's even possible for me to get a tan.  I burn in the sun after 15 minutes.  My skin is extremely white (   link   ),  and I always feel like I stand out because of my bright skin- not in a good way.  Or I feel like people will be grossed out by my white skin (I don't even have freckles really to break up the paleness) so I don't wear shorts even though I would love to a lot of the time.  What's your opinion of pale skin?  Any other pale-skinned girls feel like this sometimes?

I don't think so.

Like the others say, you look really pretty.

But I also get what you're saying.

I have pale skin, dark hair. People say I have the whole snow white look going on for me. My skin is weird. I'm not getting a sunburn... even without protection I could lay in the sun for hours, not getting burned but also not getting really tanned.

There were a few people that were like: you're so pale?! Are you sick? Most of the time it were people with (natural or fake) tanned skin...

The way I see it everyone is different... you have to go with what looks good at you, what brings out your best features. You can wear things that look great on you, which won't look nearly as good on tanned people and vice versa. That's the beauty of it.

Some of the most beautiful women in the world have pale skin. And I think your skin looks gorgeous, it makes your blue eyes pop. I think lighter skin is lovely. It gives off a very elegant, innocent feel and makes almost any hair or eye color pop. Now I'm not going to lie, some people with very light skin can look a little pasty sometimes, and acne sticks out a little more, but your skin looks very healthy. I wouldn't worry about it.

I think that the majority of people, male or female, would agree that being naturally fair or porcelain-skinned is more beautiful than being a fake-baker with orange looking skin. I love my pale skin and I think it looks great on me. I'd never try to tan.

You are absolutely gorgeous...not in spite of your flawless skin but because of it. Don't tan, unless you want to look like a leather bag in few years. It will accelerate the aging of your skin, since ultraviolet light from the sun will damage the integrity of the supportive collagen fibers of the skin making it less elastic and more prone to wrinkling.

If you look at my profile pic, I avoid sun and where sunscreen whenever I go out, even in the winter. If you saw me in person you would think I was 20 when I am in fact 31, and I owe it to the health of my skin.

Well i love pale skin. Pale/white skin is always a turn on for me. They are just soo attractive and one can't resist them. i wonder why would any girl want to tan her beautiful, perfect, soft and cute white skin.
I am not a red head nor any of my relative. But TBH they (Red Heads) are the most attractive ones especially when they have blue eyes <3.

To all fair skin girls. Don't tan your skin honestly you girls look so beautiful in white tone.
I dont degrade any of the skin tones but for me Pale is Most Attractive skin color. :)

pale skin is fine by me. don't be grossed out by your body, love your body. in ancient rome slaves were the ones with tans and a sign of being wealthy was being pale, just a little history lesson fyi lol. plus gingers don't tan very well. don't worry your skin looks great

It can be to some; just like dark skin is to others. But as long as you rock it with confidence you should have nothing to worry about. Just don't start damaging your skin to get it darker for the sake of appearances.

I disagree. I think that pale skin is very attractive. Reason being, it does stand out! But not in a bad way. This summer I was considering tanning as well, but everyone is tan now days. I think its really unique and something to be proud of and show off.its good to be individual and you don't need to change your skin color. Wear up sum shorts!

Pale girls are hot when they know how to work it. If you don't like tanning or afraid how a tan may look on you, forget it. You should feel conformable with your skin, litarally.

Skin color isn't going to make someone attractive or unattractive You either are attractive or you aren't Pale skin isn't ideal, but neither is dark. No one really likes extremes, but that's life

Not a turn off. Also remember that sun exposure causes premature aging. This causes white girls to age too quickly which is a turn off. Tell that to any guy who says otherwise.

I like it, but I am pale myself. You'll fair far better than I will.  If you're into interracial as well, you'll certainly have nothing to worry about.
