What do girls think of bookworms?

I'm a guy who reads a lot. Everywhere I go I always take a book with me. Whenever I go to university or work I'm always reading novels on the train and I love it. I guess it's sort of my way of escaping reality. The only time I don't take a book with me is when I'm at the mall or supermarket.

I'm not like a proper geeky nerd or anything but I do read and study a lot. Basically I'm all about the books.

Do girls think guys like me are boring guys who don't have a life? I do everything else normal people do (clubbing, getting drunk etc) but most of my time I bury my head in my books. Whether academically or for fun.

I think it's great when men are passionate about something. Just because you like reading instead of wakeboarding or playing football doesn't mean you're boring. Personally I love discussing my favorite reads. You said reading is a way for you to escape from reality.. just make sure that it's not holding you back from living a full life. Wouldn't it be better to share your love of literature with other people than it is to keep it all to yourself?

I like bookish men! I like being able to discuss literature. I love to read for fun too. I doubt that your reading makes you unattractive. However, the frequency that you do it could be putting up a wall between you and women. A person reading a book all the time says "leave me alone I'm reading."

i don't think most girls really care , myself I find it a little funny when I see someone on bus reading an old medival or space themed book , that has obvivously been read dozens of times allready

You'd have no issue with me. I'm glad someone else enjoys reading on the go. :) While I lived in Chicago, I took the train everywhere to get to work, and I'd have to say reading on the way during my commute was always a highlight. :)

It's hot. I love a man who reads. You can probably hold a better discussion than most. I wish more men read. I'd love to cuddle up in my man's lap while we both read a book, then maybe put the book down for little bit... and well... ;)

Smart women like smart men. And smart men read. Don't spend so much time with your nose in the books, though, to miss out on the women. That would be not-so-good.

Well, I like bookworms. Just as long as they still give me the attention I want, and don't blow me off for a book. I don't think its a bad thing. In fact, reading is a great way to expand your intelligence and I think everyone should read more.
