Girlfriend hypothetically threatened me..how do I take this?

So, my girlfriend basically said...(in much more colorful language) that if I cheated on her (I never have or have given her any reason to think I did/will...she said this kinda casually in passing)...If I cheated on her she would cut off my penis...Which OK...I get cheating is bad bad BAD! but geez really? Cheating is not even close to a good reason for causing any bodily harm...let alone sexual mutilation. This comment has me totally up in arms. I never ever even though about cheating on my gf...not just because cheating is despicable and wrong...but simply Because I'm way too in love with my girlfriend to even lay eyes on another girl. But now, I don't know about that. I mean how would a girl react if her boyfriend said something "if you ever cheat I'll give you a good beating". And that's not even as bad of a threat in my opinion, I'd take a beat down as opposed to getting a body part chopped off any day. I haven't confronted her about it, I didn't act shocked or anything when she said it..but its been bothering me. Should I say something?

She's insecure so you need to do something to show that you love her something big,take her out to a restaurant come home and have scented candles rose petals on the floor, be selfless in bed and try to satisfy her every need and cuddleafter(if she like sit), the next day in the morning I doubt she could be angry and just say you love her and that she is the only girl for you

You need to talk to her about it. Ask if she was joking and tell her that you don't see her the same way since she said that sh*t. If she's serious, I would leave on the spot.

She could just be joking. I know a lot of girls who say something along the same lines, but only jokingly. No one would ever actually attempt it. And she might not necessarily be insecure. It sounds like the topic of cheating may have come up earlier and she decided to make a passing remark just because. I really don't think it's that big of a deal, and if you ask her, she'll probably tell you the same thing. That she wasn't serious.

Yeah I think you should talk to her and tell her how you feel about her and how you would never cheat on her then also tell her how what she said is bothering you.
