Is an antique flask bad taste for a birthday gift?
In some days it'll be my mother's birthday. I've already gotten her a birthday gift, but it's something she'll be using only at home. Yesterday I've bumped in an antique shop that among many things had a very similar flask to the one in the picture for sale.
I was thinking of getting her something that she can use every day - at first I thought about a lighter, but she uses matches so that gift would be useless for her. But she always carries around something to drink, so I thought why not a flask instead of the usual plastic bottle? After all it's always the same she fills with drinks from home and uses to spice up coffee when we go out (not polite, I know), so a flask would at least look nicer.

I've found another nice gift idea at the same shop today, although a bit more pricier - a jewelry box. It's engraved and really particular because it doesn't have a key, but a combination of heart and spade shaped buttons. Looks really cool, the shopkeeper told me he'd show me the combination and write it down if I buy it!
