My wife sent me to the store to buy aluminum foil. I expected to pay 4 or 5 dollars. It was almost 20 bucks. It was the big roll but still TWENTY BUCKS?Almost 20 bucks for this.
What did you buy in the supermarket that really put the fear of God into you?
I ordered one of three ingredients I would need for a health treatment and Amazon told me my product was lost so I reordered it and than the lost package was delivered a few days later so I purchased the same product twice and was never refunded, that bothered me because I was trying to save money and I bought another health item cause I read it can solve my issue and when I tried it, it made it worse, so I wasted over $50 on unwanted product and than I purchased new products for charging my cell and they would not let me cancel when I realized I did not need it, so I wasted around $80.00 on things I did not need due to planning errors and that bothered me because I try to be as frugal as possible when I am dealing with these types of things.
I try to buy as little as possible online. I am trying to fix a radio and I just need a pretty basic part but since Radio Shack has gone under there is no other place around here that sells this stuff.
Yeah, that is unfortunate, I used to feel comfortable ordering online but now feel it’s a hassle cause they would not let me cancel my order. My parents don’t want me visiting physical stores during the pandemic so I will pay 5-8 times more to get online versions of those items.
Driving to the store does that, at $5.09 a gallon here right now, and the store being 40 miles away, means 80 miles round trip to go to the store. What's worse is normally I'd just buy a truck load of stuff at once, but things are rationed... only so many of these per day... so your saying I have to return tomorrow to get more? rather than just let me buy a bunch to avoid having to do that. I would prefer only one trip into town per month.
Too bad the federal government won't put buses for us that run every ten minutes out in the middle of rural America, I'd take one of those. I'd be the only rider 99% of the time.

yes, I live near a big city and I only go in there a few times a year to see a ball game or a concert. They always want you to take public transportation. Before covid I went in three or four times and every tine there was a problem with the train and the system put everyone on busses. It took forever.
Everything… my $350-400 family monthly food bill is now over $500. My fuel costs have doubled and I can no longer afford to buy any size home right now. This was a problem before “Putin’s price hike” and our government didn’t care. Now that they have a scapegoat is only going to get worse for us.
Well, they said food prices would be rising because of this Russia thing so don't be surprised. I bought about $600 of canned goods before the rise. A can of my favorite Campbell's Soup went from $1.45 to $3.75. I think things will continue to rise before they go down. Even the interest rates are going up again.
I think back to 2008 when gas went up to 4 bucks a gallon and a few months afterwards, the cost of everything else went up. Biden tries to blame it all on Putin but most of the blame should be put on his doorstep along with a paper bag full of doggy doo. Light the bag on fire and ring Biden's doorbell.

I just bought a new trailer. It is aluminum and I ordered it last August. I got sick of waiting so last week I went to the trailer place to get my deposit back. The guy sold me a similar trailer that was the next larger size for the same money. I think aluminum is in short supply.
probably not a very big bag either. I sometimes splurge once in a while on these hand made dark chocolate candy bars. They were 2 bucks a piece snd now they are four. I guess I won't be splurging much anymore.
even at the dollar store prices are up , the $ 2 chips are now $2.50 . items that were $ 1 are now $1.50 and so on , everytime i go there my bill is way more than i expected and not much in the bag

it depends on the item , basic items might still be a dollar , more premium items seem to be going up a little bit , at the dollar tree they have $ 1.50 stickers on some
