Does the Holidays make you miss your ex?

Please tell me how you have gotten through this joyous season when your heart is in so much pain? And if you are currently going through this, how are YOU dealing with it? Any advice will help!

you have given me some advice in the past so I thought that I would repay the favor.

i have just in the past few days gone through a break up. I'm missing her so much.

yeah of course you feel it.

i felt always like this before I had rhiannon. I alyays thought that if there's another half to everyone out there howcome there's no other half to me?

in it would hurt around the holidays.

i would always find help in my family. my little brother, I know this may be a bit pathetic but I kinda look up to him. he seems to have it good ya know. got the wife got the house got the job got the car. you know. its hard but find some one in your friends or family and take comfort in the fact that there are people out there who do love you for you.

well.i would guess that ur breakup wasnt very pleasant and it was quite recent right?

cuz usually by the 5th month we should all be fine alrdy.but anyway I find that occupying my time with close frens and classmates helps a lot.takes my mind off stuff.but the best way is to totally get over ur ex.then you won't think of him anymore

It was like 5 months ago. He has a new lady and I am still in love and heartbroken. I know time heals all wounds. But, it is so hard to be happy at this time when you are feeling so bad. Thanks for the advice.

Yeah that's true..my ex is with another guy that she met 2 months after she broke up..actually they were frens b4 and she tried to cheat on me with another guy but that guy didn't like her but I found out..still she broke up with me and blamed everything on me..for the first 1-2months I was depressed but then I realised that it wasnt my fault that things ended up like that..so I moved on..so you should too..if you didn't do anything wrong..move on..hard though it might be

I still miss my ex, but I am no longer heartbroken even though it was really hard for me initially. It was about 5 months ago.

But seriously, it's OK to miss but it's not healthy to mope, especially after so long. There is so much more to life than just one guy, even if he was the love of your life.

Think of your family, and your friends. Just because they're not the love of your life doesn't mean they're not important and that they're not loved. And they also love you too. So spend time with them.

For me, I'm so excited for the holidays. So much good food and so many good friends, and best of all so much time with my amazing amazing family.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. It makes you sad cause you see all the couples and its supossed to be a joyful occassion but you can't be fully because something is missing. I think its just the fact that I'm single then because I'm not with him. So do some shopping for family and friends and give the love to them that he didn't want from you. Worry about things you do have control over and just you, relationships take two.

I know its hard around this time of year but I found if you keep active your mind will be less hurt. I had an ex who proposed to me on Christmas Eve. I had to say no I was only 19 and he was 18. I found being around family and friends help calm things down and keep your mind away from the heart ache and the black hole in your heart that makes you down. I hope this helped.

it kind of does make you think about him like the good times you had with him then you like him again that's whated happen to me when I was 16
