I have 2 cards with the same company and twice in the last 50 days, I’ve paid the wrong credit card when I attempted to cover my bills. I think the second error might be caused by the credit card and not by me because my memory isn’t bad enough for me to make the same mistake twice.
Yes, you are right. You can log a complaint to credit card. They might have not cleared your first processing. That's why it's still showing pendancy.
How about just cancel all your credit cards except one and then that's the only one you have to worry about
