Was it ok to give my psychiatrist a rose quartz ring and a snowman mug?

She gave me Christmas gifts. So I thought I should give her something.

The psychiatrist client relationship, even though it is an emotionally charge interchange, is still a doctor to patient dynamic. There are professional expectations from both parties. Purchasing a rose quartz and snowman mug for him/her suggests a sexual attraction.

I would refrain from such purchases in the future. He/She wants to keep you as a client, however, continuing behavior such as this can make this difficult.
