Should I buy the item on ebay or from the company’s own website?

I’m planning to buy something that’s pretty expensive and wondering if it’s better to buy it from ebay or directly from the company’s website? Do I get any more buyers protection or help from ebay if anything goes wrong or no?

Look at total cost including postage. With ebay the free post is usually wrapped up in the price and it often works out cheaper for single or light items. If you're buying more than one item then it's usually better to go direct as you only pay postage once

The company will provide a better warranty if anything goes wrong. Most eBay sellers don't give you a warranty. If it breaks, you're out of luck

Unless the price is very different on eBay, buy from the company's website. If something goes wrong, they will take better care of you.
