That bear is really well mannered, because he is letting people know that he's grabbing a Snickers bar unlike theifs who keep their business clean. I'll join that bear for my shopping so that I can get everything free!

Keep my distance. I'm tiny lol, compared to a lot of people already, but especially to a 500 lb beast! Haha. I'd be at the mercy of that bear and I'll be on the phone with Animal Services faster than you can eat a Clondike Bar! 😉 Or at least ask them what they'd do with it haha.

My answer would really depend on whether my wife and kids are with me or not. If they aren't I'd just try to keep space and slowly back away. If they're near a bear, I'm going to try to draw it away from them even though that'll only likely give them a few more seconds, and handgun rounds will do very little to it even if I shoot it in the chest and head repeatedly. Though most likely I wouldn't have much time to do so as they can move very fast when they want to.

We only have black bears down here, and very few at that, so that's something that's very novel to worry about, snakes, possums, racoons, turtles or the such are more likely to wander inside some way.
