What a... words fail me, frankly...

It's difficult to tell how large that specimen was, but that's not really the point here - it's clearly big enough to kill, and if you'd have told me the situation, but not the outcome, and asked me to guess whether or not he'd lived, I'd have needed to give that a bit of thought...

  In recent years there have been hundreds of black bear sightings in my state. I haven't heard of any incidents of a human being attacked by a bear. Thankfully most people are not stupid enough to provoke a bear.
