What is your favorite gift to receive?

Just give me a homemade card with few words of true appreciations for me and I'll be more than happy. Food is another thing. Honestly, I'll appreciate anything which is given to FOR me. Sometimes I get a tray plate at my birthday and it's of no use for me, people just buy it for the sake of gift. I don't like it. I like interesting things in which I can be invested. I'm not interested in simple boring water bottles, etc. I would really appreciate a book of my taste. I'll love anything actually, if they are of use to me and interest me. And as a curious person, I'm interested about anything new.

Food of course. Ever want to make me happy? Food, especially something healthy and tasty, lol.

I'm a simple creature. I tend to like gifts that are thoughtful or meaningful- by that I mean the person got me something that shows they pay attention to me or what I said to them.

For example, years ago, one of my friends got me a phone holder to put on my arm while running because he knew I worked out a lot and thought that would be useful... that is a good gift!

I also like gifts that smell nice (ie: lotions, candles, diffusers). Especially fresh clean scents that lift your mood~

I, unfortunately, do not have any favourite gift. I mean, when you get what you want the moment you justify its necessity; and maybe sometimes not even that, I don't think you can have any favourite gift.

But the iPhone 13 can be considered as my favourite gift, I guess? This year, on 26th of January 2023. It is a good phone, but I shifted back to Samsung as Auto Call Feature is preferred by me.

If it is from friends and family, could be anything for the house. They tend to know what I like.

If it is from a girl then I am good with a homemade card (a personal touch) and maybe a romantic dinner for two at her place. It does not have to be something off the shelf as I likely have everything I could possibly need/want.

A homemade one, or one in which the person knows what you like. It's always the thought. I once got a cookbook on Maine and foods like lobster rolls, pies, etc. My daughter got it and I love it because I like the state and the foods there.

I don't like gifts, but an ex got me candles and it pissed me off because she knew I don't care about candles... she liked them. If you're going to get me a gift at least put some thought into it and get me something I would actually like/use.
