How often do you change the oil and filter in your car, and what oil do you use?

I use Mobil 1 10-40 synthetic oil in my Porsche and change it every 5000 miles.

Mobile one, Castor oil, penzoil synthetic, now Costco synthetic and 3000 or 5000 depending on car. I do it myself so I know it was done right. I've had cars over filled, and one case a friends car... they didn't change the oil. Once find good mechnic, it's fine to have them do it.

Oil - Usually before the recommended 5,000 miles and I also use synthetic oil.

Filter - whenever the mechanic says it's time

Once a year. My husband handles it. Once a year thd oil, breaks etc get checked and replaced. Here they call it a service.
I miss my old Seat Leon from home, it was a 1.6 diesel. There's no such thing as diesel cars in the US.
