I learned by watching my dad when I was a kid.
When I was 13, I went to work at my uncle's gas station on weekends and did oil changes and lube jobs, as well as working the gas pumps.
When I was 16 and got my own car, I changed my own oil, spark plugs, brake pads, and did other repairs.
Yeah, I know how to. I still take it to the shop out of convenience as I have a gravel driveway and its very inconvenient to change even in the summer. Add North Dakota winter weather into the mix and there's even more reason for me to just pay someone to do it.
Yes but it's faster and sometimes cheaper to get get done at the shop

Luckly, my granddad gave me a car that doesn't require such a thing. Just grab a quart of oil and fill it up. And if I don't... well I just don't move. :) SImple as that.
Yes I do. I can even change the belts, hoses, starter, alternator, water pump, brake pads, shoes, drums and rotors. I can do a complete tune up. Pull the motor out and replace it. I know how to do all those things but I just don't have the time.
I know how, my dad taught me when I first started driving. But I've never had to do it since then and I might not get it right. I bring mine to a mechanic to have it done.
Yeah. But I'm responsible for multiple cars and I don't always have the time/interest to do it.
Yes, I still change my own oil. When I bought my truck it came with free oil changes for a couple of years so I used that but now I am doing it myself again.
Technically it’s not too difficult, but I prefer my mechanic to do it, because he has storage and pickup for old oils and I don’t.
Yes. Haven't done it on my current car, but I did it on my old car for the experience.
Yes. My dad made me learn before he’d let me get my drivers license.
Yes I can change the oil in my truck. It was one of the things my father taught me when I was learning how to drive.
Yes and used to my car oil changes when I was a bit younger and had more free time.
I prefer to give it professionals. Its risky matter
Yep, I can change the oil and filter, tires, battery and parts….
Of course. Rule 1 is turn off the engine though...
Yes, I’ve changed oil for years but I’m too busy nowadays👍
Yep and not interested in doing that ish. Have someone else do it.
I hate dealing with tools and mechanical work.Yeah, it's really easy and takes 15 minutes.
Yeah easy but I pay to have it done
Yes I just chose not to.
Yep, and way more
