When it comes to anything really but, for example, I need a car. Mines dying and I need one to of course get to work. I need one quickly, for a couple reasons but at the same time, I don't have a lot, including no credit (my cars were always gifts and were old), but now I'm finally ready to buy a car or whatever, and start getting some credit in my life.
But, can I be picky with what i get, or do I have to just stick with what I should be able to afford

I think it’s okay to be picky when it comes to your car. Not saying you necessarily need to get a brand new luxury car or anything.
But I know so many people who bought cheap used cars cause they were desperate. Then they had to put in a lot of money towards fixing those cars. Just for them to still shit the bed shortly after.
I think it’s worth it to make sure you get something that will last a while.
No, you have to make the best of a bad situation.
