What was my debit card declined if I have money on it?

Tried to make a purchase earlier but it got declined, so I went to a another store to get try to make a purchase, but it got declined again and I have money on my account.. I used apple wallet of my debit card on both times.. what could be the issue here?

I have Wells Fargo and if I go to an event when there are mulitiple vendors from different states, Wells Fargo will put a possible fraud flag on your account. This happened to me. I bought something from a vendor who was from Florida and then I purchased something from a vendor from Georgia. Wells Fargo thought that someone had stolen my card and traveled to these places. I had to call WF to review my last transactions to tell them they were mine. It is a pain in the ass when it happens. Until you call your bank no transactions will go through.

How much are you spending?

Sometimes if you just make a huge purchase all of a sudden, your bank can automatically label it as suspicious. You'd have to call them and tell them I plan on making this purchase, they'll verify it's you, then should give you the okay.

Is the card activated? Was the correct funds in the right account? Did you enter your pin correctly? Was there an issue with the merchant's machine? Did you swipe, tap or insert the card?

Yup the card was/is activated, I think it was the merchant machine lol

Sometimes if I make a couple of large purchases in a row my bank declines them until I confirm it’s me.
