What's the last thing you did that turned out to be way more expensive than you anticipated?

Friend of mine sold me a big sub-woofer cuz he needed cash to fix his car. Figured how hard could it be? It's a speaker, two wires and you're done. Threw him $150

Spent the whole day getting all these little dumbass connections because I kept forgetting all the stuff you gotta set up. Kinda wishing I just paid someone to do it at this point 😂

Dropped another $300 on wires and stuff because I didn't plan it out first. Big lesson is I could've hired someone to do it for probably an extra $50 and the whole thing would have been over in a couple hours instead of wasting most of my day.

I paid extra for toppings on two different types of poutines and than did not know which ingredient matched which poutine and mixed them improperly, resulting in bad tasting food. Also bought white tea cause the books says it’s healthy and gained 5 pounds in a week so I gave it to my cousin who can drink it without getting fat. It was around $54 a box, very expensive.
