Well it depends, for example some jn some cases they would just open it as a quick fix and others would appreciate the gift;Something to mention is that actually the wine you brought is considered a gift so gifts aren’t necessarily opened like a kid on the Christmas Day would; So in the case where you buy it with the thought of it being opened for that occasion you can talk to the people and in a natural to e you can say something like “ hi, I brought inn some wine and I thought it would make for a nice addition to our banquet “(just a simulation so t serves as to give an idea of it”!!
They actually shouldn't open it, per etiquette, unless instructed by you to do so upon the giving of it. Otherwise, it's given as a gift TO them, not to the GROUP, even if that group is just you and them. The polite way to phrase that would be "Oh here, I brought some wine for the night/event/party/whatever" at which point they should take it and reduce it to the proper temperature if needed then open it with a small announcement of what it is and how courteous of you it was to bring it. The first pour served will then be to you, at which point you will taste it to make sure it has not corked (gone bad), the upon your (quick) approval you will nod to the host who will then serve you a full pour, then ranking members of the party by seniority/importance, ending with the host.
No I would not be offended as it would be the receiver of the wine to decide to open and use at the moment.
If I was having a date at my place and he brought a bottle I would naturally think he would like it opened and used for us on this date.
If I were out on a date and he gave me a bottle of wine depending where you were it could likely be illegal to open it like at a restaurant for instance.
I once purchased 2 of my favourite snacks for a party at church and the pastor took my gift but did not serve it to us cause he already had enough party food lined up for us. It’s not a compulsory rule you have to serve the dessert you buy to guests, I think it’s an optional but polite courtesy.

Depends. Often a host will prepare wine for guests before they arrive. I chill white wine and open red wine so it breathes a while before people arrive. If I'm given a bottle of white wine by a guest I'll put it in the fridge to chill for a while, or if it's red I'll probably put it to one side, with view to possibly opening one or both later on, if required. Then I offer them a glass of whatever I prepared beforehand. This works OK in my world.
It wouldn't be a problem for me if the bottle wasn't opened, but another one. I would probably only be mad if there wasn't anything good to drink.
I'll chime in as a bartender, and winemaker, yes the bottle should definitely be opened for you! Now of course if there is a lot of wine, I think it's totally okay to just stow it in the wine shelf for another day.
I'd expect that unless they had bought a wine explicitly for the food they had prepared.
But it is a token of reciprocation so if it is never opened it would be OK.
I wouldn't be offended, as I don't like wine too much 🍷
No, it’s a present. If there’s already other wine, it’s the hosts call.
Some wine is better chilled so it might be a while anyway
No, why would I be offended? It’s their gift, they can do with it what they please. If I wanted some for myself, I’d just buy it for myself.
No, you shouldn't.
I don't know I don't drink wine.
No I wouldn't be offended.
No, that's weird.
