Why do people buy new furniture?

Furniture? If i buy , it means i do it to use it. Not to sell it. Why would i even care about the value become straight down. It’s just furniture, not property, gold, land or stock.

Because you could buy the same furniture second hand for very little money. And it could be even good as new

Because the old stuff is broken and used stuff is crap. Unless you buy rare solid wood ones, which hold their value and are indestructable.

I can say that my palm and teak wood furniture can be used by my grandchildren too if they want.

Nothing has value until you sell it. My car has zero value, because it's not for sale. The dealership calls me all the time and wants to buy it back. LOL Then I ride the bus?
