I don’t have much money, at the moment and I’m making so many friends that it’s getting crazy in the way of gift giving and gift receiving.

I know someone with a birthday just about every month and it’s getting expensive and stressful. Is it okay to start giving $20 in a birthday card for each person’s birthday or Christmas gifts, to buy their pub dinner? With the exception of a few close friends and relatives?

i feel that this is a way to help me save money for my future.

In this time you are having financial problems and it is not your fault, you do not have to question whether what you do is right or wrong. people you know will understand. you don't need necessarily to make them expensive gifts. Everyone does what they can afford and no one will have to judge
