No, when I was small I thought I was rich actually. We weren’t financially rich, we were actually far from it, but we were rich in many other ways and in my head I really didn’t attach money to being rich. I played with the same toys and cherished them and that’s the best mentality you can have because you will never need to buy anything to be happy.

Asker1 yThat's good, materialistic things might bring joy but that joy can be limited, it's good not to be materialistic 😁
Asker1 ySounds like you are preparing for one exquisite dish 😂
Asker1 yOkay then I'll eat them 😁
Asker1 yYou can have the broccoli, there's better options 😬

Wait… there is a possibility of having a ranch and now killing the animals right? because I forgot that that’s what happens in ranches… maybe I could just make cheese and milk and that’s it. 🤔 … and ok I’d give you a chicken.. a fighting chicken and you wouldn’t want to eat it either because it’s worth a lot and it can protect you.
Asker1 yNah I'd just get a dog for that, I'm eating the chicken 😂
Asker1 yNot if i give the dog a treat right after biting someone 👀
Asker1 yThis is why you won't be taking care of my dog 😂
Asker1 yWdym lol
Asker1 yLol.

Asker1 yYou dont have a dog tho you only take care of dogs for a while, maybe you don't know how to do so in the long run 😌
Asker1 yI don't think my dog would 😌

Very far from it. I value experiences much more, like traveling, spending time with great people, doing cool and interesting things. I don't wear designer shoes, don't have a 50" TV, Mercedes, smart watch, none of that.
Almost all my friends and co-workers have bad credit scores and debt they're still fighting off, because they made poor decisions with money so they could try to look like something they're not or get the approval of their peers. It's not worth it.

I'm craving for the next product to own, that's the miracle of modernity. I'm surrounded by factories producing, for me, each day, something different to consume. I can buy, I can sell, Goods, services, people. I can haz new things and new cheezburgerz 24/7 !
My pleasure is working at peak efficiency, and it is limitless 🥹

1 yNgl, I used to be lol I had to have what ever was "in". The latest in style for clothing or electronics... but as I got older and needed to be more careful with money, I became a little more conservative. I still do buy quality but I only buy things I need.

@ManOnFire I realized how important having good credit is lol I witnessed friends destroy their's to the point they couldn't even rent an apartment without a cosigner. I was kind of on that path.

@Beckybooboo I know people like that right now. Trying to look like something you're not or have things you don't need are really not that important. It's impressive that you realized this so early for your age.

@ManOnFire I was fortunate, I became friends with a girl a couple years older than me in college and her credit was impeccable. She saw the path I was on and took me under her wing lol I had credit card debt and would take out "payday" loans at the age of 20... She was going to school for finance and used me as a project of hers. After a couple years of conserving my money and being responsible, my credit score almost doubled!

Nah, but sometimes I wish I was a bit more so. Being to generous is as bad as being selfish I think. You screw yourself.
