Have you regifted? Do you do it routinely?
Has it ever backfired? How would you feel if you learned that someone gave away something that you gifted to them?

I have done it , no more than a couple of times. Generally I treasure what I’m gifted , especially when it’s from a loved one.
On the occasions I have re-gifted , it’s been house warming and engagement gifts. I regifted them and told the receiver they were bought for me. I couldn’t pass them off as my idea and from me , that wouldn’t sit well with me.
I think it depends on why.
What really is a gift? What is its purpose? It sounds silly to ask but there's a difference between an uncle who never talks to you gifting a blender because they love cooking and are hoping it will bring you closer vs the same guy gifting a snow globe he got at a Broadway show.
To regift the blender without upgrading to a new one would be an insult to their goodwill.
Yet to regift the snow lobe to a fan of the medium it belongs to would be to honor the spirit of the gift.
In other words you could say what really matters is you've found a way to respect their generosity by making it meaningful.
I've never done it. I am appreciative of any gifts.
I would still keep it if I didn't like it because it would remind me of the person that gave it to me.
Nope.
I have many flaws, but stinginess is for sure not amongst those.

I have successfully done it before. I don't have a problem with it.
No. I am a repurposer. I take a shitty gift and find another purpose for it!
That is such an asshole thing to do
Nah!
Never
I give back
