Is my 70th birthday gift haul for my mum enough or should I add more?

My mum is turning seventy in 2 weeks. I’ve bought her a champagne diamond ring, a French designer handbag, a box of French chocolates, some flowers, a card with crystals on it, diamond earrings and a pink pearl necklace. I’m also getting some blueberry cheesecake for her, for my parents and I to toast her over afternoon tea. I also got her a handbag and a going away, washable bag.

Is there anything else I should give her, like some money, or a nice bottle of wine, or something? Or a sweater? Or is what I’ve got her enough?

I saved up ahead of time so I could afford anything else my mum might want and didn’t yet have.

I am just excited about mum’s birthday and I want to make it special. We’re not particularly wealthy. Actually I am on the pension and I’ve been paying this stuff off and some of it is secondhand.

Oh that depends on the drinker... they like the flavored stuff or hard core raunchy like me? You got to guage what they're all about. I mean my best guess for old grandmother types is white russians or something sweeter. If they still eat the sweets... go for something sweet.

I’m thinking something like a bottle of wine. I personally always loved creamy, sweet cocktails myself, until I became a recovering alcoholic; but mum’s a wine drinker mostly.
