Older Toyota Corolla or newer Ford Focus: which would you choose?

Toyota. Fords here have a reputation for have mechanical issues. My mom had a Ford Focus and she had to take it to the maintained shop every week. She ended up getting a Corola and has had it for like 2 decades now

Beware the Focus' 6 or 7 speed Power shift dual clutch automatic from 2012 to about 2016.

Older Toyota. Toyotas are known to be great cars vs Ford.

Both are good options. Im worried about the Ford breaking down but I have more confidence in the toyota.

If the Toyota was well maintained then it’s a no-brainer. The Toyota will last twice as long and have much less problems
