What do I give to my crush on his birthday?

We are friends, I want to give him something small and meaningful. Also he knows that I'm planning to give him something as a friend kind of hinted it to him. Is aftershave a good idea? Or is it too personal? And what message do I write on the card. I'm going to leave it on his seat in class and tell him to open it on the say of his birthday. Is that ok?

A Cd! Ask him what type of music he likes, and by who, and pick out a totally awsome CD. If you want to REALLY get personal make a whole CD of his fave songs. :)

Get him Gendarme Cologne. It's awesome. Clean, light. Impossible not to like. I'm pretty sure Nordstrom carries it.

Well, you can always go in the other direction - a giant Almond Hershey bar will get the point across that you're into him as well. I mean, that's your motive, right? Guys never care about WHAT the actual present is for the most part, but they do like the message that the girl is into them. It gives them the green light to ask the girl out.

Alternately, he'll like the Gendarme. How can you not? But you don't have to go all out.

No way. Joop! is far too strong and sweet smelling. Do NOT get Joop.

I'd suggest a something instead like Trumper Original Cologne or Trumper Portugal (which smells like a light scent of orange rinds). The other one which is incredible is Creed Aventus, which smells like Pineapple.

Whatever you do, you have to err on the side of subtlety. The Geo F Trumper ones are quite light and fresh. link

Oh, and another one that should be easy to find - Aqua di Gio, which should be easy to find. This one is super popular and easy to like. Places like Sephora should carry it, maybe even Boots. THAT is the one to get - Aqua di Gio
