What to do for my crush's birthday?

I met this girl on myspace we have exchanged numbers and have been talking for a few months now and we just have made plans to go out soon well her birthday is in a few days and I wanna do something nice I wrote her a poem and thinking roses will do just surprise her at work she works at a steak house type restaurant kiss her on the hand and tell her happy birthday but I don't want her to feel I'm trying to buy my way in or her love what would you suggest I do?

I would just take her out but she's got school and ball practice and works and I work night so that can't work so what else can I do for her birthday I could take her something to work but I'm not sure what

the boy should never ever forget the birthday and valentine and thing like that so...

the roses and the poem is great idea...So send the rose to her work and then take her to place she love it allot and read Ur poem to her...

or buy something she love or place she like or song she adore or any thing that she really love...something that make her heart jump

it's kinda cheesy, but maybe she's into that sort of thing. I would never consider that "buying" love. its sweet and thoughtful though. you should go for it. just the fact that you planned it out really shows her that you care for her, so that's a plus. good luck!

That sounds like a good idea to me. Just note that, girls usually put more value in how much thought to details you put into it, then how much money it costs.

For example, 5 presents at 10$ each (50$ total) that shows you have been paying attention to her and what she likes/wants (and went to loads of trouble to get them from different shops) will get you more "points" then 1 present that costs 100$ but is "generic" (does not show that you have been paying attention to her).

If its the first time your meeting her I think that'll be a bit much myself! You'll be setting yourself up for the future and playing into her hands! She'll expect flowers and you buying for her every week man! Just take her for dinner and offer to pay for it as it is her birthday. Only send flowers and poems when you've been going out with the girl for at least 6 months!

Its sweet, but a bit much for the first time. I would be turned off. I would feel like you were a bit crazy! if I had been dating someone for a while and they did that it would be sweet... but don't come off too strong...
