How do you guys pronounce "anti"?

Question

I've noticed people pronounce it differently. Do you say "antEE" or "antEYE"?

Depends what it's in front of, for some things I say it one way but for others I say it the opposite way. I just say whatever rolls of my tongue more easily for a certain word. For instance...

For "anti-virus" or "anti-freeze" I pronounce it antEE

But for "anti-social" or "anti-seminism" I pronounce it antEYE

Is that strange? lol

I don't know why, but I say either one . Same with the word 'either'. Never really stuck with one or the other. I think I think I say "ant-eye' more times than the other though.

Wow, I noticed that too actually but never thought about it. I usually say AntEE, but sometimes AntEYE is required so your tongue doesn't tie up like, Anti-persperents, stuff like that, I always say antEYE. Comes naturally, like.

depends in which sentence you put it. When it's a stand alone word I say antEE , when used in a sentence I use "anyEYE". Weird, I never realized it before.

I think it depends a lot on the word that it is attached to. I say it both ways. But technically, I think antEYE is proper, as it prevents confusion with the prefix "ante". Anti= against Ante=before

Most of the time "antEE", but I do recall in the back of my mind that there's always one word where I pronounce it "antEYE". I can't remember which word though :(.
