My girlfriend stopped celebrating her birthday when she was 21, she's now about to turn 26, and she honestly doesn't want to do anything, not even something tiny. I find it kinda unusual, so I confronted her about it. She eventually started saying things like: "well, I don't see why you'd mind anyway. you don't even have to buy me a present. it's free. you don't have to spend any money. it's free. it won't cost you anything, it's free." I just felt really insulted, especially the way she kept repeating "it's free" really got on my nerves. It wasn't about money and I don't get she became so rude, especially considering she's not an aggressive girl.
